A Daughter They Never Expected, A Woman They Could Never Define

Some stories begin with love, while others begin with the silent pain of never feeling enough. My story began with a longing to be accepted—not for what I could achieve, but simply for being a daughter. My father wished for a son, but I was born instead. Later, when a boy was born into the family, I often felt as though my existence had never fulfilled the expectations placed upon me. As a little girl, I could not understand why being a daughter made me feel different. All I wanted was the love, acceptance, and pride that every child deserves. I tried to prove myself through education and hard work, hoping to make my family proud. But life had other plans. Losing my father left a void that words can never describe. The person whose recognition I longed for was no longer there to witness my struggles, achievements, or the woman I was trying so desperately to become. After his death, life became a daily battle. To continue my education, I cleaned utensils and floors in people’s homes, cooked meals, cleaned office tables, worked as an office attendant, and distributed chocolates to earn money. Every small task carried a bigger dream—the dream of building a life where I would never have to feel helpless again.

Through determination, I represented Mumbai University in chess, completed a diploma in Business Management, and eventually became a Senior Export Manager. My journey of self-discovery also led me towards spirituality and ancient knowledge. I explored Palmistry, Numerology, BNN, Vedic Astrology, Vastu, Lal Kitab, and KP Astrology. My interest further expanded into Akashic Records and the profound spiritual path of the Dash Mahavidya. For me, these explorations are part of a deeper search for meaning, inner strength, and a better understanding of life’s unanswered questions. Yet, despite everything I have achieved, I still have days when I feel as though I am failing everywhere. I work hard, keep trying, and give my best, but sometimes life moves so slowly that I begin questioning myself. I wonder whether all my struggles will ever lead me to the life I dream of. Sometimes, I feel exhausted from being strong for so long.

The hardest battles are often the ones nobody sees—the tears hidden behind a smile, the fear concealed behind determination, and the silent prayers whispered when hope begins to fade. But even on the days when I feel defeated, something inside me refuses to surrender. Perhaps I have not reached where I want to be, but I have survived things that once seemed impossible. Today, my message to every girl who has ever felt unwanted is simple: You are not a disappointment because you were not what someone expected. Your worth does not depend on anyone’s approval, and your struggles do not determine your future.

I am still fighting, still learning, and still searching for my purpose. My story is unfinished, and perhaps that is what makes it real. I may stumble, cry, and sometimes feel lost—but I will keep trying. The little girl who once longed to be accepted deserves to see the woman she is becoming. I was not the son my father wished for, but I am a daughter who refuses to let life’s hardships write the final chapter of her story. With faith in Mahadev, I continue seeking the strength to rise, the wisdom to understand my journey, and the courage to transform my pain into purpose. My story is not about being born into someone else’s expectations. It is about finding the strength to discover who I am meant to become.
